Matt Moulson of the Buffalo Sabres is being shopped before the 2014 NHL trade deadline. Moulson was traded earlier this season as the main piece from the New York Islanders in return for Thomas Vanek. The 30 year old left winger is struggling to score goals with his new team.

Moulson is coming off a contract with an annual cap hit of $3.13 million and is about to become an unrestricted free agent. With 30 points in 48 games played, he is showing that he can contribute to a team's top 2 forward lines.

The Buffalo Sabres currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference and are rebuilding. There has been much trade speculation regarding Buffalo's star goaltender, Ryan Miller. Matt Moulson is another Sabre player being shopped.

According to Pierre LeBrun, "Moulson’s a guy that if the Senators can stay in the playoff mix over the next few weeks, I believe they will make inquiries on him." Besides the Ottawa Senators, the Detroit Red Wings, LA Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, Montreal Canadiens and Anaheim Ducks are interested in acquiring Matt Moulson.
