Breaking: Sidney Crosby injured after crosscheck to the face by Matt Niskanen

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby took a crosscheck to the face from Washington Capitals defenseman Matt Niskanen in Game 3. Crosby was skating by Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby when Niskanen unloaded a vicious crosscheck to Crosby's head.



Crosby stayed on the ice for several minutes before leaving slowly. Niskanen was given a five minute major penalty and a game misconduct. Stay tuned for updates on Sidney Crosby's injury status.
