RUMOR: Sharks to trade League's best goaltender

On the most recent segment of TSN's Insider Trading, Pierre Lebrun stated that San Jose Sharks' backup goaltender Aaron Dell has generated interest from multiple teams around the League. Statistically speaking, Dell is the best goaltender and could be traded prior to the end of the campaign.

Even though he has only played a minimum of games this season, he has proved above all odds that he is NHL ready as a goaltender. In 11 games with the Californian team, the 28 year old Alberta native has just a 1.72 GAA and an incredible .939 save percentage.

LeBrun went on to say that Dell could be Scott Darling 2.0 as the former Blackhawk backup was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes and became the started. He also added that the Sharks could re-sign Dell as well.

Last season, Dell played in 20 match-ups for San Jose although his numbers were nothing compared to this year's, they were very decent as he recorded a 2.00 GAA and a 0.931 save percentage. However, many teams have demonstrated interest, will he be able to keep up with his spectacular numbers over the season.
