When Sean Couturier was injured in practice in a collision with teammate Radko Gudas, Philadelphia Flyer fans were worried they lost their star player for the rest of the playoffs. With Couturier out of the lineup with his injury for game 4, the Flyers lost 5-0 to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Flyers fans were relieved when Couturier returned for game 5. He was strong on the penalty kill, and scored the game-winning goal, although it was clear he was battling through his injury. Then, in game 6, he scored a hat trick and two assists in the Flyers' 8-5 loss.

Couturier revealed the nature of his injury when his team was eliminated from the playoffs on Sunday. Incredibly, he was his team's best player for games 5 and 6, while playing with a torn MCL in his right knee - an injury that normally keeps a player out of the lineup for at least a month.
