Rumor: Tyler Bozak Considering Offers From 3 Teams

The NHL season kicks off in less than a month and free agent center Tyler Bozak is still sitting without a contract. Rumors have surfaced suggesting there's three teams heavily interested, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets and St Louis Blues.

Bozak, at 35, is likely to get a professional tryout for training camp now, and will be hard pressed to receive a one-year NHL contract from any team. That may be his sticking point for selecting a team, a guaranteed job for next season.

Last season with the Blues, the veteran center recorded 17 points in 31 games. He's deadly in the faceoff circle and still has some to give on both sides of the puck. With all the injuries up the middle and his relationship with Brian Burke, it makes sense for the Penguins to be involved. The Jets are looking for a replacement of Mason Appleton on their third-line, meanwhile the Blues haven't added much at center this summer.

While it may not be on a one-year deal, look for Bozak to be in training camp with an NHL club, and for one of these three teams to be in the mix.
