P.K. Subban Only Fined $15,000 For Third Slew Foot Of Season

P.K. Subban has once again avoided suspension. Although he committed his third slew foot in the last month, NHL Player Safety is once again being lenient and only giving him a $15,000 fine.

During the preseason, Subban first slew footed New York Rangers forward Ryan Reaves. After that, he received no discipline. Only a week ago, he did the same thing to Calgary Flames forward Milan Lucic and was given a $5,000 fine.

When it was announced that Subban had a hearing for doing the same thing yet again, but this time to Trevor Zegras, most expected a suspension of some kind to occur. I mean, he's done it three different occasions in such a short amount of time. However, NHL Player Safety felt that a more expensive fine was the right call.

We will have to wait and see if Subban does it a fourth time this season. If it does indeed occur, maybe a suspension will actually come from it that time.
