Rumor: Winnipeg submit an offer for Wild D, Matt Dumba

Matt Dumba is the hottest commodity on the trade market and it's not even close. Teams are lining up their offers for Wild GM, Bill Guerin and according to a source close to Winnipeg's operations, the Jets have submitted a formal offer for the right-handed defenseman.

The deal is Matt Dumba for Nik Ehlers straight up. Just so happens they make the same, $6million, with Dumba having 3 years left and Ehlers having 5.

The Wild are holding out at the moment as more teams continue to send in their offers. They are trying as hard as they possible can to turn Dumba into a #1 center. A tall task for any GM, especially when all the other GM's know your motive.

The Jets have a huge hole on the right-side of their D, and continue to search for ways to upgrade. Trading Nik Ehlers appears to be their focus at the moment.

Inner-division trades can be tricky and you never want to help out a rival. Let's see if this materializes into a three-way deal.
