Rumor: Taylor Hall Has Agreed to His New Contract

The first day of free-agency is in the books and so far it appears the two biggest fish have yet to put pen to paper. However, according to sources close to the Nashville Predators' operations, Taylor Hall and the Nashville Predators have a verbal agreement in place, and are working on finalizing the contract.

Nashville had an inside track on Hall as their head coach, John Hynes is one of Hall's favorite coaches as the two spent time together in New Jersey.

Hall was apparently intrigued about playing along side Matt Duchene and Filip Forsberg, which would give the Predators one of the best first-lines in the league. The Predators have roughly $14 million in cap space after the team bought-out Kyle Turris and Steven Santini.

Hall has been busy discussing contracts with several teams including the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. With the Calgary Flames signing Jacob Markstrom and Chris Tanev, it appears their bankroll, at the moment, won't allow them to bring Hall 'home'.

That all could change quickly, but as of right now, it looks like Hall is on his way to music city!
