3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Sergei Bobrovsky
Sergei Bobrovsky is one of the most notable pending unrestricted free agents heading into the summer. While the 37-year-old has had a rough 2025-26 season, he should still generate interest this offseason if he hits the free-agent market due to his incredible resume.
Because of this, let's look at three teams that could look to sign Bobrovsky this offseason if the Florida Panthers do not re-sign him.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers certainly would be a team to watch if Bobrovsky ends up hitting the free-agent market this offseason. Tristan Jarry has struggled immensely with the Oilers since being acquired from the Pittsburgh Penguins, while Connor Ingram is a pending UFA. Thus, if Bobrovsky becomes a UFA this summer, the Oilers could be a team that pursues him.
Vegas Golden Knights
The Golden Knights' goaltending has been very bad this season, and they could look to make some changes between the pipes during the summer because of it. Due to this, if Bobrovsky becomes a free agent during the summer, it would not be surprising in the slightest if the Golden Knights tried to sign the two-time Vezina Trophy winner.
Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes could be another team to watch if Bobrovsky hits the market this offseason. Frederik Andersen is a pending UFA who has struggled this season, so Carolina could look to bring in Bobrovsky as an upgrade over him. The Hurricanes have not been afraid of using a three-goalie system for a while now, so Bobrovsky could work well with Pyotr Kochetkov and Brandon Bussi next season.
