Arizona Coyotes Shopping Oliver Ekman-Larsson

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman confirmed over the weekend the Arizona Coyotes are once again trying to shop defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson to other teams, in hopes of moving on from the expensive defenseman.

The Coyotes tried to move him last summer but he gave Vancouver and Boston as the only two cities he wanted to move to, and as we know, a deal couldn't get worked out. This time around it's going to be different. Coyotes management will open up their phone lines to every team, and are going to take offers back to OEL. The team hopes once he hears about an interested team, it may spark his interest to approve the deal.

The soon-to-be 30-year-old has five years left on his contract, paying him $8.25 million per season. This season he scored three times and added 21 assists in 46 games. The Seattle Kraken expansion draft could play a factor here as there's potential Arizona can work out a deal with the NHL's newest team or they can wait to see who the Kraken take from certain teams and target their lack of defensive depth.

Trade noise is heating up in the desert and once again Oliver Ekman-Larsson is dead smack in the middle of it.
