Golden Knights Dadonov Opens Up About Voided Trade to Ducks

Evgeni Dadonov was wondering why he was being traded to the Anaheim Ducks after he submitted a no-trade list that included all the California teams. Turns out the Vegas Golden Knights didn't realize this after he was acquired from the Ottawa Senators.

Dadonov admitted it was an eventful and stressful couple of days but it does not sound like any hard feelings are being felt towards the Golden Knights management. The forward spoke to The Athletic's Jesse Granger and had this to say:

I would say it was a stressful couple of days. (There was) nothing I could do. I was just waiting on the decision. I kind of try and be a pro. I’ve been around the league. I understand every decision, so I wasn’t really mad. I just have my right and just was waiting.

The trade would have solely been for salary cap purposes as the Golden Knights are in a cap mess with some big names coming back from the injured list sometime soon. As for Dadonov it was a weird time for a trade as he's one of the hottest players in the league. He's on a three-game goal streak and on Thursday night recorded three points and was named the game's second star. He has seven points in his last five games and it's great to see the Golden Knights faithful showing some love after the game:
