NHL Rumors: Hurricanes Shopping Prospect

According to Chris Peters of Daily Faceoff, the Carolina Hurricanes could use Jack Drury as a piece in a blockbuster before the trade deadline passes.

The Hurricanes have been linked to several big-name players like John Klingberg, Jakob Chychrun, and Claude Giroux. However, for them to acquire a high-impact player, they will have to be okay with giving up a lot in return. Drury is one of their top forward prospects, so naturally, he would be someone who gets interest from a selling team.

Drury appeared in his first two NHL games this season, where he recorded two goals. He certainly left a good first impression, and he is also having success in the AHL, too. In 50 games with the Chicago Wolves on the year, he has 16 goals to go along with 21 assists.

It will be interesting to see if Drury ends up moved by the end of the week. He wouldn't be an easy prospect for the Hurricanes to part ways with, but if it gets them another star, they may have to.
