Vegas Golden Knights' Top Trade Candidate This Season

The Vegas Golden Knights are a very strong team and are having a great bounce-back season from their injury-riddled campaign in 2021-22. Their roster is going to be tough to alter very much seeing as they are strong throughout and have just three free agents at the end of the season.

In order to make a deadline acquisition this season, they are going to have to clear a bit of money which brings us to the top trade candidate this season for the Golden Knights, Laurent Brossoit.

Unfortunately for Brossoit, the former backup of the Golden Knights was replaced this offseason when the team went out and acquired Adin Hill to back up Logan Thompson. That tandem has done surprisingly well and there's no reason to call Brossoit up or make changes.

Brossoit started the season on the injured reserve and he was passed by. Upon returning, he was sent to play in the AHL for now. With a number of goaltenders struggling around the league, I'm sure the Golden Knights could eventually find a trade partner for Brossoit and clear his cap space off the books. If no team actually needs his services, a cap dump could still be likely since the team appears primed to go on a deep playoff run.
