Nashville Predators Rumors: Defenseman Linked to Blue Jackets

The Nashville Predators have begun their fire sale, and more moves are on the way. Defenseman Dante Fabbro is one of the many Predators being shopped, and The Fourth Period is reporting that the Columbus Blue Jackets are linked to him.

This season has been a disaster for Columbus, and they are expected to be major sellers at the deadline because of it. However, it does make sense that they are looking at Fabbro, as he is a young defenseman who possesses plenty of potential. If the Blue Jackets were to acquire him, he would be in the running for top-four minutes upon his arrival. With that, he would also see time on both their power play and penalty kill units.

Although Fabbro is not the biggest name on the market right now, he does have the potential to be a very solid addition to the Blue Jackets if they acquire him. Yet, other teams that are making a push for him include the San Jose Sharks, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals. Therefore, Columbus has competition to land him.
