NHL Rumors: 3 Edmonton Oilers Offseason Goalie Trade Targets

The Edmonton Oilers thought they addressed their goaltending issues when they acquired Tristan Jarry from the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, the 30-year-old has struggled mightily since being acquired by Edmonton, as he has an .860 save percentage and 3.81 goals-against average in 17 games with the Pacific Division club.

With this and netminder Connor Ingram being a pending unrestricted free agent, the possibility of the Oilers trading for another goaltender this summer should not be ruled out. Due to this, let's look at three goalies who the Oilers could consider targeting.

Anthony Stolarz, Toronto Maple Leafs

With the Maple Leafs having Joseph Woll and prospect Dennis Hildeby, the possibility of Stolarz getting moved this summer could be there. The 32-year-old goaltender has had a bit of a tough season for the Leafs in 2025-26 season, but his recent other seasons show that he can be a major difference-maker. He had the best save percentage in the NHL in 2023-24 (.925) and 2024-25 (.926). Perhaps this could lead to the Oilers trying to reunite with the 6-foot-6 goalie, who played in six games for Edmonton in 2018-19.

Juuse Saros, Nashville Predators

Saros has been in the rumor mill for a while now, and he could be a goalie to keep an eye on during the summer because of it. If the Predators end up making him available, it would be understandable if the Oilers kicked tires on him. When playing at his best, Saros has shown that he can be a star. However, the Oilers would need to get creative to fit him in, as he has a $7.74 million cap hit until the end of the 2032-33 season.

Jordan Binnington, St. Louis Blues

The Oilers have long been connected to Binnington, and there is an expectation that the Blues will listen to offers for him again during the summer. While the 32-year-old goaltender has struggled this season, his ability to step up in big games could make him an appealing summer target for the Oilers team that is in win-now mode.
