LA Kings acquire a goaltender

nhl rumors la kings anders lindback

The LA Kings have acquired goaltender Anders Lindback through a professional tryout contract. The Kings needed goaltending depth after Jonathan Quick and Jeff Zatkoff both went down with groin injuries.

The veteran Swedish goaltender went 5-7-1 with a 3.11 goals-against average last season for Arizona, his fifth NHL team in six seasons. Lindback also has played for the Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Dallas Stars and Buffalo Sabres.

Lindback will likely backup Peter Budaj, who has won three straight games since coming up from the AHL.
