St Louis Blues Lock Up Recently Acquired Forward

The St Louis Blues are not wasting any time getting a deal done with a fresh face. The team has announced a contract extension for recently acquired Pavel Buchnevich, who was brought over via trade with the New York Rangers.

The deal is for four years and carries an annual average value of $5.8 million. Buchnevich was acquired for forward Sammy Blais and a 2022 second-round pick last weekend.

Last season was his best of his career, producing 20 goals and 28 assists in 54 games. The Blues are desperate for forward help as their team is going to look much different next season. Jaden Schwartz is expected to be leaving, and Vladimir Tarasenko is getting traded. Interesting times for the Blues.
