Canucks Make Lineup Changes Ahead of Wild Game

After being a healthy scratch last game, Conor Garland is set to return to the lineup for the Vancouver Canucks when they take on the Minnesota Wild. Garland will be playing first-line minutes, while Nils Hoglander is set to be a healthy scratch for the contest.

Garland being scratched was a bit of a surprise given the fact that he is one of the Canucks' top forwards. He has had a bit of a slow start to the year, scoring one goal in three games, but now he is getting a chance again to turn things around. Given the fact that Vancouver is 0-4 to start the season, it's essential for them to get a win against Minnesota.

Hoglander has played in four games for the Canucks this season, where he has an assist and an even rating. The 21-year-old has struggled noticeably since his rookie season in 2020-21, so perhaps being scratched could be the wake-up call that helps him find his previous form.
