Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Patrick Kane Has 'No Interest' Joining Certain Team

The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to approach winger Patrick Kane in the coming days to ask him where he'd approve a trade to before the March 3 trade deadline. While there's been a ton of chatter about how Kane is upset he wasn't dealt to the New York Rangers, it sounds like another New York team won't cut it.

According to Stefen Rosner, Kane has 'no interest' in joining the New York Islanders before the trade deadline. The Isles have already acquired Bo Horvat for a multi-piece package which included their top prospect and first-round pick in 2023. Adding Kane would cost a significant amount as well, so even being still linked to the Blackhawks forward is a touch of a surprise.

Kane isn't happy in Chicago and recently blasted the team on their player development. He's been frustrated with management's communication on the rebuild and it certainly feels like the days in the windy city are winding down for the Blackhawks great.

In 50 games this season, the 34-year-old pending free agent has recorded 35 points. Not his most productive season, but given his game-changing abilities and experience of winning in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there's going to be a number of teams interested in adding Kane before the deadline. It sounds like we can cross the Islanders off the list.
