Red Wings Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for David Perron

Detroit Red Wings forward David Perron is among the top pending UFAs for this year's free agency class. The veteran winger still produces well offensively and also provides some grit and leadership to go along with it. Because of this, if the Red Wings can't get him signed to an extension, there will be a lot of interest in him this summer. Let's discuss three possible suitors for him now.

Edmonton Oilers: The Edmonton Oilers reportedly were interested in Perron during this season. It is not too surprising, as they certainly would have benefitted by adding him to their top nine. Due to this, if he hits free agency, the Oilers will be a club to watch. A reunion there seems possible.

St. Louis Blues: Speaking of reunions, could the St. Louis Blues look to bring back Perron? He has had three different stints there over his career, and they certainly could try to sign him again this offseason. They really like the player, and there's no question that they would get a big boost bringing him back to their middle six. It's an area that needs help.

New York Rangers: The New York Rangers could also look to add to the wing this offseason. Perron would be a great fit in their middle six, as he would give them more secondary scoring and also make them tougher to go up against.
