Video: Brad Marchand hints at signing multi-year extension in Florida

Don't let the liquid courage fool you, but there's been a lot of speculation over the future of Brad Marchand in Florida.

The Panthers sent a first-round pick to the Boston Bruins for Marchand ahead of the trade deadline, and all he did was come in, play a third-line role, exceed expectations both on and off the ice, and was called 'the biggest dawg I've ever played with' by Conn Smythe winner Sam Bennett. Marchand is a pending unrestricted free-agent, as is Bennett, and both players this week have done their agents a disservice, by stating they'll be returning to the Panthers.

First it was Bennett, and now Marchand hints at re-signing in Florida, as this video shows him reference a four-year deal, which could in fact pay him the total amount he's looking for, while lowering his cap hit for Panthers' GM Bill Zito:

The Panthers also have Aaron Ekblad who is set to become a free-agent, and he's also made it very clear to the world that he wants to re-sign in Florida. There's only so much money to go around, but all signs are pointing to all three players taking a bit of a 'home-team' discount, and getting back in the mix in Sunrise to try and three peat. If all three return, there's a very good chance that happens.
