Rookie of the year - 2011 Calder trophy predictions

Who will be the rookie of the year for the 2010-2011 NHL season? With so many good rookies to choose from this year, it is difficult to predict who takes home the coveted Calder. Here are my favorites for the Calder.

San Jose Sharks - Logan Couture F - 13G 6A 19P
Carolina Hurricanes - Jeff Skinner F - 8G 12A 20P
Edmonton Oilers - Jordan Eberle F - 5G 13A 18P
Edmonton Oilers - Taylor Hall F - 9G 6A 15P
Anaheim Ducks - Cam Fowler D - 3G 11A 14P
Philadelphia Flyers - Sergei Bobrovsky G - 14W 4L 3OT SV%.922

It is odd Couture is classified as a rookie, considering he played 25 games for the Sharks last year. If he played one more game last year, he would no longer be classified as a rookie this year. Another player to watch is Fowler who was expected to be drafted 4th overall in the 2010 NHL entry draft. The Ducks got the best steal in the draft, getting him at 12th overall. So far this season Fowler proves he can do it all, including scoring shootout goals.

The race is far from over. I am quite confident one of the NHL rookies on this list will win the Calder.
