Dennis Wideman Trade Rumors

Trade rumors continue to surround the Washington Capitals and their UFA defenceman, Dennis Wideman for the 2011-2012 NHL season. Wideman is having a career year with 11 points in 12 games. At 28 years old, he is hitting his prime and currently makes $4.5 million a year.

When the top defenceman hits free agency, there will be a bidding war over his services. The New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks and Detroit Red Wings are interested in acquiring Dennis Wideman from the Washington Capitals.
