2014 Claude Giroux Trade Rumors

Claude Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers is the subject of rampant trade speculation for the 2013-2014 NHL season. The Flyers currently sit at 15th place in the Eastern Conference and GM Holmgren is pondering a massive shakeup to wake up his club.

Giroux is the main catalyst for Philly's offense and this season he has struggled with only 7 assists in 15 games played. The 25 year old center is not happy with his team's philosophy and direction. He wants to be traded to a team where he has a better chance of breaking out offensively so he can make Team Canada's Sochi Winter Olympics roster. 

The Philadelphia Flyers are in serious talks with the Edmonton Oilers. The Flyers are seeking Jordan Eberle in return for Claude Giroux.
