Goaltender James Reimer of the Toronto Maple Leafs has demanded a trade, which is likely to occur in the 2014 NHL offseason. He is clearly unhappy with his backup role to Jonathan Bernier. Bernier has taken over the #1 goalie position and coach Randy Carlyle praises his play. On the other hand, Reimer is blamed for his team's losses.

Reimer is 26 years old and is a restricted free agent signed to the last year of his $1.8 million contract. The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to move James Reimer to the New York Islanders, Calgary Flames or Winnipeg Jets.
