Loui Eriksson for Zack Kassian

The Boston Bruins are eager to make a trade for a top line right winger to play with Milan Lucic and David Krejci. GM Peter Chiarelli is offering Loui Eriksson for the Vancouver Canucks Zack Kassian and a prospect.

Eriksson was acquired in a trade for Tyler Seguin and he has struggled to fit in on the Bruins. Erikkson is 29 years old and comes with a cap hit of $4.25 million. Kassian is 23 years old and comes with a cap hit of $1.75 million. Both players could use a change of scenery.

This deal makes sense from the Bruins perspective because they shed salary and acquire a big, physical forward. The Canucks acquire a player who was once dangerous offensively and is looking to rebound in 2015.
