Todd Bertuzzi Return to NHL

Sources say Todd Bertuzzi has signed a Professional Try Out (PTO) contract with the Ottawa Senators. The veteran right winger, who turns 40 years old on February 2, 2015 is going to report to the AHL for his try out.

Last season, Bertuzzi scored 16 points in 59 games with the Detroit Red Wings. He showed signs of slowing down and the Red Wings elected to go with youth and not re-sign the once dominant power forward. He has not played a game professionally this season and was desperate to get back playing hockey.

Bertuzzi contacted several NHL clubs, including the Ottawa Senators. The Sens agreed to give him a PTO contract in 2015.
