Rumor: Lightning put veteran defenseman on the trade block

The Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to trade veteran defenseman, Matt Carle. Carle was healthy scratched a few times this season. He is -1 and has 0 points in 14 games.

Carle has a modified no-trade clause and carries an annual cap hit of $5.5 million through 2017-18. Carle wants to stay in Tampa Bay, and realizes he may not get to play much.
