19-year old prospect gets first NHL goal in second NHL Game

Watch as 19-year old defenseman Samuel Girard score his first NHL goal against the Dallas Stars Thursday night against the Dallas Stars.
The 5'10 defenseman scored his first NHL point 2 days ago against the Philadelphia in a high scoring game that ended 6-5 in favor for the Broad Street Bullies. The Nashville Predators selected Girard in the 2016 NHL draft in the second round as their 17th pick (47th overall).

Before being selected in the 2016 NHL entry draft, Girard played for the Shawinigan Cataractes in the QJMHL for 3 years. In those 3 years, he notched 24 goals and 168 points for a total of 192 in 190 games. And in the playoffs, he scored 33 points (3 goals, 30 assists) in 33 games.
