Trade: Canadiens trade veteran forward to Los Angeles

After an abysmal start to the season, Marc Bergevin has finally made a move.

The Canadiens have traded 32-year old Torrey Mitchell to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a conditional 5th round pick.

The condition is: If the Kings can make the playoffs this season, the pick exchanged turns into Montreal's 4th round pick they gave for Dwight King at the trade deadline in March. This seems rather interesting, almost as if Bergevin knows Monteal's 4th rounder will be higher than L.A.'s...

The 32-year old center has played 4 seasons with the Canadiens, scoring 37 points in 174 games with the team. He was often fighting for the 12th-forward spot on a team riddled with injuries on the bottom-six this season.
