NHL Trade Rumors: Mike Hoffman to Edmonton Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers and Ottawa Senators are rumored to be in trade discussions about Mike Hoffman.

The 28-year-old winger carries a $5.18-million annual cap hit through 2019-20. Hoffman has scored more than 25 goals in each of the past three seasons. He would be a good pickup for the Oilers, who need a scoring winger.

The Senators want a high draft pick and a defenseman prospect in return for Hoffman. After the NHL trade freeze comes to an end, we will see if a deals gets done.
