Rumor: Carolina puts 2 quality players on the trade block

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Carolina Hurricanes have put two very surprising names on the trade block. Those two players being Dougie Hamilton and Micheal Ferland.

Acquired in the trade that sent Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanifin to Calgary, Dougie Hamilton and Micheal Ferland are once again on the trade block. On Saturday night, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman stated that both players are on the trade block, which is surprising to hear since Hamilton filled up Carolina's need for a right-shot defenceman to fill their top 4 role in their lineup.
Another team that has said we cannot be in a position to let our free agents walk for nothing are the Carolina Hurricanes, Friedman stated. I believe that's why a lot of talks have heated up on Micheal Ferland, I don't think that they are anywhere close between the team and the player. Another names guys, I'm curious about Dougie Hamilton. They have 4 right shot defenceman, they have been asked about Hamilton, if you're willing to come back at them with a scorer I think that they would be willing to do it.
Apparently, during his time in Boston and Calgary, Hamilton was the center of locker room issues, and those issues could have followed him to Carolina. There have been rumors of Hamilton being somewhat of the odd man out and the fact that he's back once again on the trade block could very well mean that he's not in the organization's long term plans anymore. Of course this is pure speculation.

What would your team give up for one of the two or both?
