Report: Marcus Johansson Garnering Trade Interest

With the trade deadline approaching, one name seems to be cropping up more and more often.
Pierre LeBrun reported that Marcus Johansson has been gaining more and more interest in trades talks of late. He pointed out that Devils GM Ray Shero does not usually wait until deadline day, which means we could see a Johansson trade in the next week or so.

The 28-year old has been lighting it up recently, collected 10 points in 11 games with New Jersey, and without the assistance of Taylor Hall. With a manageable 4.58 million dollar cap-hit, he can fit under most teams' salary cap with minimal work.

He could be a valuable addition to several different teams needing some additional scoring on the wing. Some destinations could include Nashville, Boston, Edmonton (if they plan to be compete for a playoff spot), and Colorado.

He was acquired by the Devils from Washington during the 2017 off-season in exchange for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. I'd anticipate a similar return should the Devils trade Johansson at the deadline.
