Rumor: Panthers' Derick Brassard to Columbus

After being acquired by the Florida Panthers earlier this month, it seems that the Panthers would be willing to move Derick Brassard once more before the deadline according to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos.

After being traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Florida Panthers along with Riley Sheahan for Nick Bjugstad, Jared McCann and three draft picks, it would seem that Brassard could be on the move once more.

While it is mostly speculation, Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos reported the centreman could be moved before the deadline. He added that the Columbus Blue Jackets are interested in the 31-year old.

With many teams pursuing pending unrestricted free agent Artemi Panarin, Florida has been mentioned as a place the Russian forward would like to go to. This has some thought that there could be a package deal involving Derick Brassard for the Russian, but that is merely speculation at this point.

Do you see the Florida Panthers trading Brassard after acquiring him so soon?
