Hockey Gods punish ECHL goaltender after vicious slash on opponent

Things got rough in the ECHL between the Adirondack Thunder and the Newfoundland Growlers when the Growlers netminder Michael Garteig slashed Adirondack's Conor Riley injuring him. Garteig got off easy with no penalty. But the hockey Gods had something in store for Gerteig.

Over the weekend, the Adirondack Thunder and the Newfoundland Growlers met, wasn't a pretty game altogether after Growlers goaltender Michael Garteig slashed Adirondack's Conor Riley who went down in pain. Although Riley was in pain, he found the strength to get back up and play through and boy did he have some revenge for Garteig.

Riley got up and skated in a somewhat discomfort. He decided it was time to teach Garteig a lesson and scored not once, not twice, but three times! Have a look at the slash:

I told him [Garteig] he was in for a long night. We were going to pound the net with shots, Riley during a post-game interview about what he said after getting slashed.
