Officially Signed and Sealed: Mark Stone hits jackpot with extension in Vegas

Mark Stone must have been impressed with his airport welcoming as the Golden Knights forward has signed an 8-year contract extension in Vegas which will pay him an AAV of $9.5 million.

Big money for the one-time 6th round draft pick of the Ottawa Senators. Stone is enjoying a career year between his time with the Senators and Golden Knights, and Vegas will be leaning on his 200-foot game when the playoffs roll around. The 26-year-old winger has yet to score in 5 games with Vegas but that didn't stop GM George McPhee from getting this deal done and Stone locked up.

The Golden Knights head to western Canada to take on the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
