NHL Trade Rumor: Dallas Stars trade Jamie Benn to the Vancouver Canucks

As the sting from playoff elimination still lingers, the rumblings have begun on Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn. With the shattered relationship with the Stars owner, Tom Gaglardi, after the owner called Benn and Seguin out for their play, Jamie Benn is expected to be open to moving on.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman acknowledged on his 31 Thoughts Podcast this week, Benn's name could be in play this summer as Dallas looks to build off a second-round playoff exit. With Benn having a NMC, Dallas media feel the only place Benn would consider going is home, back to BC.

A trade with the Canucks could be centered around Bo Horvat and prospect Olli Juolevi. The move would give the Canucks one of the best top lines in the league with Pettersson, Boeser, and Benn. While Dallas would add another young Finnish d-man to their back end, and Horvat would give them a legit replacement for Benn's production.

Talks will gain steam as we get closer to the draft, would Benn waive his NMC? Appears so if he's heading back to western Canada.
