Report: Brock Boeser rejects latest offer from Canucks

According to Mike Johnston of Sportsnet, the Vancouver Canucks and Brock Boeser are no where close to agreeing on a new contract and are millions of dollars apart.

As the offseason of the RFA is set to begin and offer sheets are discussed around the league, the Vancouver Canucks zero in on signing Boeser before the June 26th opening of discussions.

Team and player cannot put pen to paper until July 1st, however, teams can begin to meet with players in late June and the Canucks don't want to give anyone a chance to talk to their star. Boeser has shown signs of being one of the best snipers in the league and it's paramount for the Canucks to keep him in the fold.

This could finally be the year we see a few offer sheets signed as names like Aho, Rantanen, Marner, Tkachuk, Connor, Laine, Point, Karlsson, Meier, Labanc, Vrana and Konecny, currently on the market. The Canucks don't care, their #1 priority is signing Boeser.

Does it happen before an offer sheet?
