NHL Trade Rumor: Joe Pavelski to the Chicago Blackhawks

According to Chicago Blackhawks insider Mark Lazerus, San Jose Sharks captain Joe Pavelski is intrigued by the idea of playing for the Blackhawks if he is not re-signed by the Sharks this off-season.

I've heard from a couple league sources that Pavelski is intrigued by the idea of coming to Chicago should he leave San Jose (a big if, to be sure), and he'd be a great short-term fit in the top six, Lazerus stated. He can be Jonathan Toews' right wing, and he can still step in at center when needed. Sure he's turning 35 next month. He also just scored 38 goals. There's plenty of life left in Captain America.
If Pavelski wants a raise of his $6 million salary, he will likely price himself out of San Jose, who will without a doubt let him walk.

Should Chicago sign Pavelski this coming free agency?
