Rumor: Wayne Simmonds to Montreal

According to Pierre LeBrun with the Athletic, UFA Wayne Simmonds has been contacted by the Montreal Canadiens in hopes of getting the winger signed to a multi-year contract.

Simmonds spent the past season with both the Flyers and the Predators and battled to find his consistent game. He produced only 1 goal and 3 points in the final 17 games with the Predators, a team he couldn't seem to find his spot with. The Preds' GM, David Poile has made it clear the team has moved on from Simmonds.

The Flyers on the other hand, would welcome back Simmonds with open arms, however, Canadiens GM, Marc Bergevin has made it clear, Simmonds is on their list.
