NHLTR: Buffalo Sabres moving Marco Scandella; 3 Potential Destinations

The Buffalo Sabres continue to scorch the NHL, led by their superstar Jack Eichel. As the team collects points in pursuit of their first playoff spot in quite some time, the team will look to make some trades to fill some holes for their playoff push. Rasmus Ristolainen is now happy with Buffalo, so their attention has turned to defenceman, Marco Scandella.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Scandella is likely headed out of Buffalo and the deal could be before the new year to get a jump on the trade market. The 29-year-old carries a $4,000,000 cap hit and is an unrestricted free agent after this season. His career best was 23 points for the Minnesota Wild in 2016. A stay at home defenceman, who moves the puck well, and can provide some stability to the left side.
