Report: Rasmus Ristolainen demands trade out of Buffalo

Wednesday night the Buffalo Sabres are playing host to the Montreal Canadiens and they also happen to be playing host to over 30 scouts. Some teams like Vegas, Carolina and Columbus even sent two. The believe is everyone is lining up for Sabres RHD Rasmus Ristolainen.

Sportsnet Analyst Brian Burke mentioned Wednesday evening, Ristolainen has asked for a trade out of Buffalo. The defenceman prefers a change of scenery to upper New York, and there will be a ton of offers made to Sabres management in the coming days/weeks.

The Winnipeg Jets have been linked to the right handed defensemen, however, the team has been linked to every available defencemen across the league.

Look for teams on the brink of playoff potential to make a move for Ristolainen, as the Finnish d-man is still only 24 years old and has two years left at $5.4 million dollars.

The Sabres have zero interest giving Ristolainen away for nothing so expect the team to be patient in order to find a the right piece to fit into their top 6 forwards.
