Rumor: New Jersey and Minnesota talking massive trade

The New Jersey Devils were one of the busiest teams this past offseason trying to reshape their lineup while celebrating the Jack Hughes lottery win. Hughes is struggling out of the gate and so have the Devils as a whole. Ray Shero we were told months ago wasn't done, appears this is still the case.

According to sources connected to the New Jersey Devils' management, the Devils continue their dialogue with the Minnesota Wild. The Devils and Wild have discussed a deal centred around Marcus Foligno and Jonas Brodin of the Wild and Miles Wood and Will Butcher of the Devils. Both teams have been trying to pull the trigger on a big deal over the course of training camp and have been chatting with multiple teams.

The Wild were linked to offering Jason Zucker around the league while it appears the Devils are willing to part with one of their young forwards along with either Butcher or Damon Severson. Both teams are willing to make a move to try and improve their club, we can certainly all see that.

Who blinks first?
