NHLTR: Maple Leafs and Kings discussing trade

The Toronto Maple Leafs and the LA Kings have a history of transactions and it appears the trade chatter has continued this year with the clubs. Recent reports have suggested Kings GM, Rob Blake has made it loud and clear Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty are untouchable, everyone else is fair game.

Toughness and grit are lacking in Toronto, so adding a player of Clifford's style makes a ton of sense for the Leafs. He's a Cup champion and is battled tested for the playoffs.

The Leafs have offered forward Nic Petan and defenseman, Martin Marincin. The two teams continue to have dialogue as the Kings are in full re-build mode, while the Maple Leafs are trying to find a way to stop their team from getting pushed around.
