Rumor: Johnny Gaudreau on his way out of Calgary

According to the Athletic's Darren Haynes, the Calgary Flames could be ready to sacrifice Johnny Gaudreau to better their organization.

In his chronicle, Haynes believes that since the Flames are having trouble so far as they sit in the 9th position of the Western Conference, they could sacrifice Gaudreau, who is in a "slump". Haynes continued by saying that Gaudreau is in a weird position since he's not producing at an "elite" stage.

Gaudreau has one assist in his last four games, and suffered a -5 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Haynes believes that within the next two weeks, if Gaudreau doesn't start producing more, the Calgary Flames could look to move him and his affordable $6,750,000 price tag.

Personally, I think Gaudreau is producing magnificently as he has 18 points in 23 games so far this season, and had 99 points last season. But I would see what the offers were if teams would inquire about Gaudreau's availability.

Do you think the Flames should part ways with their 26-year old winger?
