Rumor: Maple Leafs willing to move William Nylander

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been a team of transition this season. Firing Mike Babcock and bringing in Sheldon Keefe, the team continues to learn to win under their new bench boss. It appears the moves may continue, as according to sources connected with the Leafs, the team has listened on moving William Nylander.

In no way are the Leafs shopping Nylander, who their 'franchise' Auston Matthews loves playing with, but the team is willing to listen if a team shows interest in #88.

There's also been chatter the Leafs have inquired about PK Subban from the Devils and the Devils immediately asked for Nylander in the deal. Nylander has also been linked to St Louis for one of their RHD's.

Nylander is having himself a fine season with 23 points in 33 games, and with the PP% going up roughly 20% since Keefe took over behind the bench, Nylander's production should continue to increase.

The Leafs are trying to get creative to re-tool on the fly, while they push for the playoffs. Moving Nylander is one option, as Leafs Nation's patience with his work ethic is wearing thin. Lucky for Nylander his new coach loves him, so it's going to take a blockbuster move for the Leafs to pull the trigger.

There's one in the chamber though....
