Breaking: Nashville Predators hire new coach

A day after firing head coach Peter Laviolette on Monday, the Nashville Predators wasted no time in naming a replacement.

Former New Jersey Devils Head Coach John Hynes has been Hired to take over the Predators. Hynes is only the 3rd Head Coach in Nashville's 21 year history of the franchise. John Hynes was let go earlier this season by the New Jersey Devils, but is considered league wide as a bright coach with many positives to his approach. Hynes was fired December 3rd with a record of 9-13-4 with New Jersey.

The Nashville Predators currently sit 6th in the Central Division and are 5 points behind Vancouver and Winnipeg for the two wild card spots in the Western Conference.
