NHLTR: LA Kings trying to trade multiple players

The LA Kings continue to find themselves at the bottom of the western conference as the past few years have been a struggle. They've lacked consistent production from their big pieces and GM Rob Blake has decided to be open for business.

Defenseman, Alec Martinez is close to coming off the IR and is drawing heavy interest from playoff bound teams. Martinez has 64 games of playoff experience and a good ticket, at $4million on his deal next season. Teams like Toronto, Winnipeg and Colorado have been keeping an eye on his bill of health.

As far as forwards go, LA is open to trading Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli and Trevor Lewis. Carter will be the hardest to move out of the bunch, as the 35-year-old is under contract for 2 more seasons at just under $6 million. The Kings most definitely, will have to eat some salary in order to receive any type of return for the veteran centre. Carter's 120 playoff games and 12 goals this season, are the only thing he has going for him.

Toffoli and Lewis are both UFA at season's end and a reasonable prospect and draft pick will be enough for the Kings to pull the trigger. These are two names you can find smack in the middle of the rental market.

Rob Blake is ready to make some major changes in LA. Keep an eye on the Kings as we approach the trade deadline. Hockey in Hollywood is in need of some drama.
