Bruce Boudreau speaks about firing from Wild

Bruce Boudreau was fired from the Minnesota Wild last week and as he put it, it totally blindsided him and pissed him off. The Wild had blown a two-goal lead in a 3rd period vs the Rangers, but had been on a decent stretch of winning four of their last five games. The axe still fell and Boudreau's job was gone.

Boudreau spoke with the media and had this to say about the news:
It was funny because Bill came in and shut the door, and as soon as he shut the door, I knew. He said - 'I'm going to make a change', I replied 'Are you firing me?', he said 'yes', and I said - 'Are you F___ing kidding me?
Even though Boudreau was in the final year of his deal he never saw the news coming. Boudreau felt with the team winning his job would be safe until the end of the year and that wasn't the case. He finishes with a 158-110-35 records in four seasons behind the Wild bench, and his career numbers are impressive, with a 567-302-115 record in 984 games.

If I could coach yesterday, I would do it. I get mad, and instead of feeling sorry for myself, I want to get right back into it. It didn't work out, but I know I can still coach
Look for Boudreau to be in the conversation come the summer time for a new coaching position.
