NHLTR: Minnesota Wild have many suitors for Matt Dumba

There are only ten days remaining until the trade deadline and Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin has already pulled the trigger on a major deal acquiring Alex Galchenyuk and a 2020 first round pick from Pittsburgh in exchange for Jason Zucker. Guerin has made it known that he is listening to offers on defensemen Matt Dumba and Jonas Brodin as well, but the price will be steep to get either defenseman.

It has been widely reported by TSN and the Athletic that the asking price for Dumba or Brodin is a top-two line centre and prospect. The price for Dumba would be higher, given that he is signed for a longer term and is younger than Brodin. Michael Russo of the Athletic believes the teams that have shown interest in Dumba and Brodin are Toronto, Carolina, Tampa Bay, Vegas, Columbus and Winnipeg.

The Wild are not in any rush to make a move, they have set a price and probably won't make a trade unless it meets specific demands. The Maple Leafs have offered Alex Kerfoot along with some prospects, but that hardly seems like enough for either Dumba or Brodin. The Lightning are the hottest team in the NHL and are looking to stock up for a deep playoff run. It is believed the Wild would want Anthony Cirelli as part of any package with Tampa. The Hurricanes have two first round picks along with two second rounders as well, Martin Necas along with one of those picks may land Carolina their desperately needed defenseman. Montreal's Max Domi's name has popped up in rumors lately, he can play centre or wing and plays with a similar way to how Wild GM Bill Guerin used to play when he was known as the "butcher". Domi probably would not be enough to snag Dumba, but may be enough to get Jonas Brodin. Vegas may offer Paul Stastny, as his name has surfaced as trade bait in Sin City. Stastny is signed until the end of next season(same as Brodin) and has a modified 10-team no trade clause.

Will Wild Bill pull the trigger again in the next ten days? or will he wait for the draft?
